The obstacle is the way – 3 key takeaways

Ryan Holiday, the author of this amazing must read book is one of my favorite authors. His unique style combines wisdom from the Stoics into our modern world. Highly recommend both the author and this book 5/5 ✅

PERCEPTION

See things for what they are, regardless of your emotion or previous beliefs about the situations.

“Whatever we face, we have a choice: Will we be blocked by obstacles, or will we advance through and over them?”

ACTION

Do what you can and always do your best! But whatever you do, take action.

“There is always a countermove, a way through, so there is no reason to get worked up. No one said it would be easy and, of course, the stakes are high, but the path is there for those ready to take it.”

WILL

Will power like any other brain muscle, can be cultivated!

“True will is quiet humility, resilience, and flexibility; the other kind of will is weakness disguised by bluster and ambition. See which lasts longer under the hardest of obstacles.”

I absolutely loved this book, and frequently revisit it.
